The Paso Robles Harvest Wine Weekend packs a long weekend of events at more than 100 area wineries. Celebrating the harvest season, wineries will host seldom-seen crush and harvest activities; Take part in a blending seminar, or jump into a two-ton grape stomp. Crave-A Paso Robles Wine Experience will be held Friday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Paso Robles Wine Country, where 60 of the best local wineries in will serve their wines at nine different "wine bars." The wines will be paired with delicious food from San Luis Obispo, and guests will be treated to music as well. Tickets cost $50 each at the door and $40 at presale. November 12-14
Enjoy a weekend that will satisfy your taste buds at The Great Wine Escape Weekend in Monterey. Beginning at 10 a.m. each day, the festivities will include wine seminars, food demonstrations by skilled chefs, dinners, and wine tours. Chateau Julien's Wine Estate is hosting its Holiday Spectacular on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Carmel Valley. A gift reception and holiday wine tasting will be accompanied by music from The Coral Project, featuring a piece by a choir in the estate's Great Hall. Saturdays
On Saturday afternoons enjoy Tolosa Winery's special tasting flights, where visitors to the Heritage Room can taste Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Syrahs paired with four gourmet cheeses from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. $15 for Wine Club members; $20 all others.
