November 7-8 The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association is marking the end of harvest season by hosting the annual Harvest Wine Celebration. Guests can travel to any or all of the more than 20 participating wineries, where they can chat with the owners and winemakers as well as taste an abundance of wines, including new, unreleased and some barrel and tank samples, along with wine-friendly foods at each stop. The event is open to guests over 21 years of age, and tickets cost $89 per person. Tickets are by reservation only and can be purchased by calling 800-801-WINE or online at www.temeculawines.org.
November 10 Moët & Chandon are teaming up with renowned chef Roy Yamaguchi to present a one-night Champagne and Sushi Dinner at all 27 of Roy's mainland locations. Each of the Hawaiian fusion restaurants will give diners the chance to taste four varieties of Moët & Chandon's Champagnes with handcrafted sushi, a Waygu beef entrée and a light dessert. The Champagne House will pour their Rosé and Nectar Imperial alongside their 2000 Grand Vintage to name a few of the offerings. Perhaps the biggest splash of the evening will be a passion fruit, orange and guava mimosa deemed the "POG" cocktail. Admission costs $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. November 12 Newport Beach's Wine Lab will host Conway Family Wines' Tom Conway and Jennifer Hallock, who will be sharing their small-production Deep Sea wine. The Deep Sea lineup includes a Rhône-style blend, Syrah and Dry Rosé. November 13 Wine and cheese shop La Maison Gourmet will host an Italian wine tasting from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m on their terrace overlooking Lake Mission Viejo. Guests will taste six different samplings of featured wines paired with cheese, charcuterie and chocolate treats. A wine specialist will be on hand to share his love and knowledge of viticulture. Through December 18 OC's most hip wine bar, ENO at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, is reprising its popular wine and chocolate tasting classes, where guests can interact with guest winemakers and chocolatiers. The fall/winter schedule features Tuscany Harvest (Oct. 9), Misunderstood Merlot (Oct. 23), Dallmann Chocolate (Nov. 6), Thanksgiving Wines (Nov. 20), New World Australian Whites and Reds (Dec. 11) and Christmas Delicates (Dec. 18).
