The Latin Food & Wine Festival offers three days of events that highlight Latin flavors. "An Evening in Spain," the opening night bash, kicks off the festival on the rooftop of The Plaza, Downtown Orlando. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can taste Spanish cuisine while enjoying music and entertainment. The following evening at Universal's Citywalk, the Roast and Runway event will showcase gowns from designer Carlos Alberto along with Spanish-caribbean dishes and unlimited rums and specialty mojitos provided by Rums of Puerto Rico. The festival concludes with the Grand Tasting event at the Dellagio from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Events are individually priced; for tickets and more information, visit www.latinfoodandwine.com.
November 14-15
The Orlando Food and Wine Fest will take place in downtown Orlando on Robinson Street along Lake Eola. Wines from 18 regional wineries will be poured including Red Rock Winery, Gallo Family Vineyards, Ecco Domani and Jekel Vineyards. Attendees will also be treated to bites from 35 top restaurants, including Shari Sushi, Primo, Dexter's, The Black Olive and Brio Tuscan Grille. Along with food and wine, the festival will also have a sports bar featuring the top college and pro games, live entertainment and the Brighthouse Chef's Stage with seminars and cooking demonstrations. Christiano's Wine Bar and Restaurant hosts Wednesday Wine Tastings every other week starting at 7 p.m. For $20 each, guests can partake in six specially poured wines presented by the in-house sommelier. Thursdays
Timpano Italian Chophouse offers half-price wines and martinis on Thursdays in the Starlight Lounge from 4 p.m.-7p.m. The Starlight Lounge is a Sinatra-style martini bar with sofa seating, velvet draperies, and a baby grand piano all with a scenic lake view.
