September 25-December 30 The 7th Annual Brandywine Valley Wine Trail Harvest Festival takes place at the eight wineries of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. Each vineyard will offer wine tastings, winery tours, barbecue food, live music and an opportunity to learn about the Brandywine Valley wine region. A $30 "Passport" is required to access tastings at member wineries. Passports can be purchased at any participating winery or online at www.bvwinetrail.com.

October 29-31 The Philadelphia Food & Wine Festival showcases renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities. This year's event welcomes Michael Voltaggio, winner of Bravo's "Top Chef: Las Vegas," Season 6, along with finalist Ron Duprat. Also slated to appear is Food Network's Aaron McCargo Jr. (of "Big Daddy's House"). The festival will feature over 200 stations of foods, wines, ales, liquors and more from world renowned restaurants and brands. There will also be culinary demonstrations by celebrity chefs. Sundays Filiberto Magnati, the owner of Di Vino Wine Bar. and former sommelier at Savona on the Main Line, has started a wine club---a group that will enjoy tastings in the restaurant on Sundays. Magnati will offer six wines to try (three red and three white) from around the world for $25, including small plates. The 45-seat restaurant offers a global list and more than 35 selections by the glass. Each of chef Antonio Palmente's small plates are designed to bring out flavors in wine, with Magnati pairing wines for each course.
