The Northwest Food and Wine Festival will kick off its annual event with a Big Grand Wine Tasting Event, where guests can enjoy over 600 wines and food from 50 restaurants. All visitors will receive a commemorative wine glass, and can sample gourmet items from a seafood bar, chocolate fountains with fresh strawberries, the Deep Water Grill featuring Aaron Song from Hell’s Kitchen, and many locally recognized chefs. There will be industry booths for gourmet food, wine and culinary accouterments, along with certified sommeliers on hand to answer questions about wines. Additionally, there will be a silent auction for charity, live music, and a special “Parade of Ports,” where guests can sample a variety of ports. Participating wineries include Sagelands, Basel Cellars and Mission Hill Winery.
