Sleek and understated, the Carafe’s two vessels (one resting inside the other) are made from mouth-blown and lead-free crystal. Wine is poured into the base container, which holds a removable test-tube-like glass cooling chamber, meant to be filled with standard-sized ice cubes. While immersed in the base container, the cooling chamber helps keep the surrounding wine cold. Unfortunately, the only way to pour out your beverage is by removing the cooling chamber, which drips and does not stand on its own. This inconvenience, however, doesn’t overshadow the Carafe’s simple beauty as a dining room accessory.
