Tasting
Notes: With a hint of citrus on the nose
and palate, this Americanized take on Italian Pinot Grigio offers good
balance marred only by a metallic tinge. The finish lingers for a pleasant
length, leaving the mouth filled with sweet flavors of California's
summer fruit. Still, the wine is a bit scant, especially considering
its price. La Famiglia's Pinot Grigio is a wine to easily accompany

Profile:
La Famiglia sprung in the early '90s from the Mondavi family's experimentation
with the grapes of their Italian heritage. Attempting to uphold Italian
tradition while capturing the expression of California soil, this
extension of the Mondavi empire currently produces Pinot Grigio,
Tocai Friulano, Barbera, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Moscato and Colmera,
a red blend from a Tuscan-style winemaking facility.
